Who is responsible
ParentingAdvice.rocks is responsible for the personal information under its control. The Privacy Officer can be reached at widmaer@wboitemedia.com.
This policy applies to information collected through parentingadvice.rocks, its forms and direct correspondence with us.
Information we collect
When you request the free planner, we collect the email address you submit, your affirmative consent, the form source and the submission time. We use this information to provide the requested resource, maintain a consent record and send the occasional practical parenting emails described beside the form.
Our hosting and security systems may also create limited technical logs, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and error or security events. Please do not submit information about a child's health, identity or private circumstances through a general website form.
Why we use information
We use correspondence to answer the request that prompted it. If newsletter delivery is activated, subscription information will be used to deliver the requested content, maintain consent records and manage email preferences. Technical logs are used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We will not use submitted information for a materially different purpose without obtaining any consent required by law.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses a self-hosted Plausible Analytics service to measure aggregate website use, traffic sources and actions such as article engagement, planner-page visits, downloads, contact clicks and outbound-link clicks. Campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium and campaign may be used for aggregate attribution. Plausible does not receive form contents through analytics or create advertising profiles in our current configuration. Limited request information may still be processed to produce aggregate statistics and protect the service.
We also use a Google Ads conversion tag to understand whether an advertisement resulted in a confirmed planner signup. The conversion is sent only when the subscriber reaches the planner download page after confirming their email. We do not send the submitted email address or form contents to Google, and enhanced conversions and remarketing are not enabled in our current configuration. Google may nevertheless receive technical information and use cookies or comparable identifiers for attribution, measurement, fraud prevention and service operation.
Essential cookies or comparable storage may be used where necessary for security, form operation or consent preferences. We will provide any additional notice, consent or opt-out controls required by applicable law before expanding tracking or advertising uses.
Service providers and transfers
We use WBM Forms to retain the signup and consent record, Kit to manage subscriptions, send confirmation emails, deliver the requested resource and process unsubscribe choices, and Google Ads to measure confirmed signups attributable to advertising. We may also use service providers for hosting, security and audience measurement. These providers process only the information needed to provide those services and may operate outside Quebec or Canada, where different laws can apply.
The site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts and the Google Ads tag from Google infrastructure. As with other remotely hosted resources, the provider may receive technical request information such as an IP address and browser headers.
Consent and email choices
Planner signup is voluntary and requires an affirmative consent checkbox. Commercial emails will identify the sender and include an unsubscribe mechanism. You may also withdraw consent by writing to widmaer@wboitemedia.com.
We may retain a minimal suppression record after an unsubscribe request so that we can respect that choice.
Retention and security
Planner form submissions are retained in the WBM Forms system for 90 days. We may keep a minimal consent or suppression record longer where necessary to honour subscription choices, meet legal obligations or respect an unsubscribe request. We then delete or anonymize information where appropriate.
Form contents are encrypted before they are written to the submissions database. We also use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access, correction, withdrawal of consent or deletion. You may also challenge our privacy practices.
Send requests to widmaer@wboitemedia.com with the subject line Privacy Request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also contact the privacy regulator that applies in your jurisdiction, including the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children and policy changes
The site is written for parents and adult caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version, and material changes will be brought to users' attention as required.
