This is important because you want to know when you ovulate, which gives you the best chance to conceive. While the average woman has a 28 day cycle and will ovulate on days 10-14 after their period, there are some women who have longer cycles making their ovulation date later. Keep track of periods to get a better idea of when this happens. They also have kits now where they tell you whether or not you are ovulating as well.
**Change your diet. **

If you’re trying to conceive and better your chances, it is best to avoid all processed foods as well as sugars and starches from your diet. Focus on getting more protein such as grass fed meets and eggs. Drink lots of water and eat your vegetables. When you do get pregnant, this will be an easy transition to make sure that your little one growing inside you is also receiving the best nutrition.
**Take your lifestyle to consideration. **

Are you lacking in sleep? Too stressed? These are factors that can greatly hinder your ability to conceive. It is important that you get a good amount of sleep every night as it helps your production of hormones. Trying to conceive can become stressful and can turn into a nasty cycle of stress from not getting pregnant to not getting pregnant because you are stressed. Take the opportunity to focus on doing things that will help you de-stress. Sometimes doing yoga or having quiet time to meditate is good not only for the body, but for the soul.

Get the right amount of exercise. Getting down to a healthy weight is important, but it is just as important to not go to the other extreme of working out too much. Too much intensive exercises can prevent your body from ovulating regularly. Stay within a good limit and ask your doctor if there are any activities that you should abstain from.
